On the first anniversary of the reopening of the Consulate General in Chicago, the First MIDWEST Diaspora Meeting took place on the 1st of October 2016. The participants were the leaders of the Hungarian associations and Tamás Magyarics, the Head of Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the cooperation and to improve the coordination between the associations.
